Set up surcharges
The price schedule allows you to add surcharges for different collection sites. For example, you can add a $10 surcharge to all tests collected at "123 Main St. New York NY 12345". Follow these steps to add a surcharge:
Step 1. Create a new price schedule.
- Follow the steps in this article to create a price schedule and add the desired companies to it:
Step 2. Add surcharges to the price schedule.
- Within the price schedule, click on the "Surcharges" sub-tab and click "New Surcharge".
- Enter the amount for a specific collection site on the left-hand side. You can also fill in the "cost" field, which allows you to keep track of how much you have to pay to the collection site for the collection. If you don't want to track that, you can put $0 in the "cost" field.
- Specify the specimen type on the left hand side.
- Fill out "is DOT" if the amount is only for DOT or Non-DOT collections, otherwise you can leave it as "both".
- Fill out the lab if the amount is specific to one particular lab, otherwise you can leave this blank.
- Fill out either "site company" or "site". Note that you only fill out one of these fields, depending on whether the surcharge is for one specific collection site or for several sites. For example, if you want all urine tests at Concentra clinics to have the same surcharge, regardless of which particular location did the collection, then leave the "site" field blank and only select "Concentra" within "site company". However, if you have collections performed at multiple Concentra collection sites and the surcharge amount varies from site to site, then create a separate surcharge for each different "site" and leave the "site company" blank.
- Click "Save".
